I have an HP Deskjet 2540 Series printer and Iโd like to know if I can use transfer paper with it.

Itโs an ink jet printer. So, the correct transfer paper to use is this.
Is it necessary to apply a fixative after printing on this transfer paper?

Inkjet transfer paper doesnโt come with a pre-applied fixing agent, unlike laser transfer paper, which is the most commonly used.
Our advice would always be to repress (or iron on) the transferred print.
