DTF or DTF UV: which to choose?
DTF printing is intended for application on fabric using a heat press.
DTF UV technology, on the other hand, creates ultra-strong and highly detailed stickers. DTF UV printing is therefore self-adhesive and is ideal for media such as water bottles, phone covers, mugs, pens. Compared to pad printing, there are also no limitations on colours and details.

What is DTF printing
DTF, or Direct to Film, is a technique which makes it possible to create a high resolution print for use on fabric, merchandising products and other items.
The image is very clear, robust and long-lasting.
DTF printing is perfect for printing on merchandising products or for creating personalised clothing.
Using a printer, the design is printed directly onto DTF transfer film which, after polymerisation, can be used on a variety of materials: cotton, linen, felt, leather, nylon, polyester, …
DTF printing is ideal for printing shops and printing works, embroiders, communication agencies, sports shops and photocopy service shops which need to personalise clothing and merchandising products with high quality prints at competitive prices.
A heat press is required to apply a DTF transfer to the material or item.
When we talk about UV DTF we’re referring to an instant drying technique which uses UV radiation to create ultra-tough and highly detailed stickers.
The design’s details and wording are clearer and more detailed than with DTF printing.
Unlike conventional DTF printing on fabrics, UV DTF printing requires the use of transfer film and sheets which have been pre-treated with a UV glue or primer that’s specifically for UV DTF applications.
DTF transfers are printed in 8 colours.
Compared to a normal four-colour print, printing in eight colours ensures a wider colour spectrum and a better resemblance between the design that’s created on screen and that which is eventually printed on the film.
Excellent versatility
DTF transfers can be applied to a variety of different types of fabric, clothing and items: T-shirts, outerwear, caps, sportswear, shopping bags, backpacks, etc.
With DTF printing you get high quality and robustness.
DTF printing can also be used for complex designs. It guarantees excellent opacity and colour clarity, as well as high resistance to rubbing when both wet and dry.
