Answer to the question from Mary
  • I’d like to know if heat-sealed vinyl can be used on microfibre. What’s the recommended temperature?

Heat-sealed vinyl can be used on any material, natural or synthetic, that can withstand temperatures up to 165 °C, so this includes microfibre.

The transfer temperature ranges from 155 to 165 °C (depending on how the thermostat on the heat press is calibrated) and the pressing time is between 17 and 20 seconds.

The film can be removed from the material when hot, after 3-5 seconds.

If necessary, the pressing can be repeated, by placing a sheet of oven proof paper between the vinyl and the heat press plate.
