From a screen printing perspective, the difference between UV light and WHITE light is that all emulsions can be exposed using UV light, but this isnโt the case for white light: many light-sensitive emulsions cannot be exposed using white light.
With UV lights and emulsions that are sensitive to UV light, the print quality increases significantly.
The choice of UV light for correctly polymerising a particular ink depends on the specifications provided by the inkโs data sheet.
You would need to check what the required power rating is and whether or not our UV lamp matches the required specifications set out by the ink’s data sheet.
Whichever light you choose, we recommend that you carry out some preliminary tests to calculate the exact exposure time needed to dry the ink.
Yes, the 100w UV LED light can also be used without the IGLOO exposure unit.
It is not possible to use the UV LED lamp to engrave pad printing clichรฉs, the latter is used to engrave screen printing frames.
You will need a small UV lamp to engrave the clichรฉ.
